Traders body appeals Indian celebrities to not endorse Chinese brands

Published

The India China clash has not only enraged the government and soldiers but the citizens of the country too. The anger in the country is boiling over the clashes and the Trader’s body has told people to cut off business ties with China. This is a big move to push the idea of anti-China. The trade body has also appealed to the Indian stars asking them to not endorse Chinese brands. Many business analysts are calling the move impractical as this cannot be essentially initiated whereas the Confederation of All India Traders has come out and asked various Bollywood actors like Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bacchan and Amir Khan to not endorse these products.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! will go ahead despite Wales going back into full lockdown.

The series, which is due to start next month is usually filmed in Australia but was moved to Gwrych Castle in Conwy this year as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

First Minister Mark Drakeford, who announced the new lockdown rules yesterday – said it would be a ‘short, sharp, shock to turn back the clock, slow down the virus and give us more time’.

The ‘firebreak’ will start when the schools break up for half term and last just over two weeks until November 9, as the country battles the second wave of the pandemic.

However, following the announcement, Gwrych Castle has reassured fans that the series will go ahead as planned – and they will do it safely.

Releasing a statement to their official Facebook page on Monday, they said: ‘Following the announcement today from the First Minister, the overriding message is that filming CAN continue in Wales providing related activity cannot be undertaken from home, and there is full compliance with Welsh Law.

‘Welsh Government guidance on COVID-19 should also be followed. This includes a legal obligation and guidance on taking all reasonable measures to maintain physical distancing in the workplace, compliance with relevant industry guidelines for physical production.’

‘We cannot wait to see I’m A Celebrity on our screens.’ the post concluded.

The lockdown rules will mean that all non-essential shops, as well as pubs and restaurants, will be forced to close once again.

‘Critical workers’ and those who can’t work from home are being allowed to leave the house to do their jobs.

Exercise outdoors is also still permitted but people are being told not to meet anyone they don’t live with either indoors or outdoors, except those who live alone who can ‘bubble’ with one other household for support.

Since the show was announced, there have been lots of rumours as to who will be among the star-studded line-up – including the likes of Rob Kardashian and Scott Disick from Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Other names include Carole Baskin and AJ Pritchard.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is scheduled to return to ITV in November.

‘He’s the perfect person to create a bit of a buzz’: Disgraced former My Kitchen Rules judge Pete Evans tipped ‘to star on the next season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’

He has come under fire for his dangerous anti-vaxxer views and coronavirus conspiracy theories.

But still Pete Evans, 47, has been labelled the ‘perfect person’ to appear on the next season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and ‘shake up’ the Channel 10 show.

‘They’re desperate for him to sign on the dotted line,’ an insider told Now To Love.

‘He’s the perfect person to create a bit of a buzz, and despite how quirky his beliefs may be, he does have supporters.’

The insider added the network was chasing the former My Kitchen Rules judge and several other celebrities with more ‘intrigue factor’, after it was announced in August the series would be moved from being filmed in South Africa to Murwillumbah in northern New South Wales.

The campsite, which is less than an hour from the Gold Coast, is a stone throw away from where the father of two lives in Byron Bay.

‘It’s a no brainer for Pete – he’s not exactly being thrown a stack of work at the moment,’ the insider added.

The UK version of the show, which has been filmed in Australia for almost two decades, has been forced to reconsider its location due to the pandemic.

ViacomCBS executive Beverley McGarvey confirmed the show would ‘definitely be back next year’ and a potential change of format was on the cards.

‘We love our South African site, the jungle is kind of a character in the show, but we just don’t know if that’s possible or realistic, so we’re just looking at a range of options,’ she told news.com.au in May.

‘The show will definitely be back next year … but because of the complexity of the travel, we are having to think about how we do that show, maybe in a slightly different way.’

I’m A Celeb co-host Dr Chris Brown added in July: ‘It’s kind of over the next couple of months we look at who’s around and who do people want to know more about and who are those figures that are intriguing people.’

Over the last few months, Pete has stirred up a flurry of controversy.

Most recently, the celebrity chef, who is married to model Nicola Robinson, was blasted as ‘reprehensible’ after suggesting the death of a top Australian doctor from cancer invalidated his opinions about diseases.

The father of two was also fined by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) for falsely claiming a machine called the BioCharger could be used to fight the coronavirus.

He also made some eyebrow raising comments about coronavirus during a sit down with The Ben, Rob and Robbo Show in September, where he discussed ‘his beliefs, controversy and his career’.

‘It’s a hoax. I’m not saying the coronavirus does not exist, but the way we’ve handled it, going into complete lockdown and waiting for a vaccine to save us all for the most – it’s less dangerous than the flu we have every year,’ Pete said during the interview when asked about his views on COVID-19.
