America’s 16 Most-Loved Celebrity Couples: See Them Here

Published

on

Valentine’s Day might be the designated day for love, but a recent data search found out which past and present celebrity couples America seems to love the most, whether they’ll be celebrating together this Friday (Feb. 14) or they’re long over.

Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner top the list of America’s favorite sweethearts, despite ending their over two-year relationship back in October, according to trends data provider SEMrush. The two were searched 338% percent more than her sister Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West, who are last on the list.

A little sibling rivalry could be a royal pain in the butt, and for Prince William, he and wife Kate Middleton seem to be less popular than his brother Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle. The latter royal pair were Google searched 130% more than the first.

These online searches have a longer lasting effect than some of the relationships, as old-time exes Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were searched 223% more than him and his ex-wife Angelina Jolie. Pitt and Aniston are the No. 2 most-searched pick for America’s most-loved couples, leaving him and Jolie some notches down at No. 12. But that’s not the case for the Biebers: Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin (as the research still indicated) are only a 47% greater internet hit than Bieber and longtime ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez, granting the married couple a No. 5 title and keeping Bieber and Gomez at No. 8.

Here is the full list of America’s favorite couples:

1. Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott

2. Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston

3. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

4. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds

5. Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin

6. Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner

7. Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher

8. Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber

9. Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez

10. Kate Middleton and Prince William

11. Beyoncé and Jay-Z

12. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie

13. Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling

14. Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk

15. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill

16. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West

Celebrities On How They Deal With Negativity On Social Media

Emma Stone has starred in some of the most popular movies ever. But even she doesn’t think social media is a positive outlet.

In an interview with Elle, the Golden Globe Award winner said, “I think it wouldn’t be a positive thing for me. If people can handle that sort of output and input in the social media sphere, power to them.”

When asked by Interview Magazine about her social media use, Scarlett Johansson, seemed more than uninterested.

“That, to me, is a very strange phenomenon. I can’t think of anything I’d rather do less than have to continuously share details of my everyday life. I’m always surprised that certain actors have Twitter accounts. I guess they use it in a way that works for them. But I’d rather that people had less access to my personal life. If I could keep it that way, I’d be a happy lady.”

Saskatoon’s Dale MacKay named Juno Awards Celebrity Chef

Published

Something’s cooking in Saskatoon for the Juno Awards — and it’s not just a Canadian music party.

Chef Dale MacKay was selected as the Celebrity Chef of the Juno Awards, representatives of the awards announced at a special tasting event at MacKay’s restaurant Ayden Kitchen & Bar in Saskatoon on Wednesday.

“I’m excited for people to walk away from not just our food, but from the city, to go ‘wow, Saskatoon, that was a really awesome three or four days,’” he said. “Specifically for our event, the gala, I want people to walk away thinking ‘that was an amazing meal.’”

MacKay, the winner of Top Chef Canada’s first season in 2011, was tasked with preparing the menu for the Juno Gala Dinner & Awards on Saturday, March 14 at Prairieland Park before the award show at Sasktel Centre on the evening of March 15, 2020.

Members of the media, CARAS/the Juno Awards president and CEO Allan Reid, and mayor Charlie Clark gathered Wednesday morning at Ayden Kitchen & Bar for the Juno Culinary Experience — a three-course menu tasting presented by MacKay as a preview of what everyone can expect at the gala.

The menu is full of local ingredients, and uses a plethora of flavours that MacKay described as being part of how he envisions Saskatchewan cuisine.

“I always go back to growing up here … things I associate with Saskatchewan are carrots, dill, garlic, beets … and then apples,” MacKay said. “We tried to do our best to keep the menu very light and fresh and vibrant, even though we’re using mostly winter vegetables.”

As part of the offering planned by MacKay for the gala dinner, the three-course meal is actually split into two menu options: one “standard,” and the other gluten-free and vegan. It’s a trend that has hit a number of major awards shows in 2020 — the Golden Globes served an entirely plant-based meal this year, and the menu at the Academy Awards was mostly vegan as well.

It might seem daunting, creating meals for so many different people — but MacKay and the Prairieland Park chefs feel up to the task.

“When you think of 1,200 people … that have their own likes and dislikes, it’s a bit of a challenge to match that to a menu that’s not only a menu you want to cook, but then also a menu that’s a taste of place and shows off Saskatchewan and shows off what we do,” MacKay said.

The Juno Awards will take place at SaskTel Centre on March 15, 2020, with the JunoFest musical celebration set to take place on March 13 and 14 at venues throughout Saskatoon. Canadian music star Alessia Cara is set to host the awards, and also leads all nominees this year with six.
